About TIC

Television Industry Committee (TIC) is a professional association of leading TV-channels and media agencies. It represents interests of television industry of Ukraine. The main goal of TIC is to promote the development of TV and advertising industries of Ukraine.

In TIC represented: 4 major television group (Inter Media Group, Media Group Ukraine, 1+1 media, StarLightMedia) and major media groups (Publicis Groupe, Omnicom Media Group, RAZOM GROUP).

Television Industry Committee was established on August 27, 2002. Oleg Popenko, Advisor of Publicis Groupe for Eastern Europe, has been TIC’s Chairman since its foundation. Sergiy Syomkin is the TIC’s Executive Director.

Limited Liability Company «Television Industry Committee» («TIC» LLC) was created in 2011. Anna Dobryvechir is the Director at Television Industry Committee.

TIC is a member of international and Ukrainian organizations in the field of TV broadcasting and media research:

• European Media Research Organisations (EMRO), Germany;
• International Joint Industry Committees (I-JIC), France;
• National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), USA;
• European Advertising Standards Alliance, Belgium;
• Ukrainian Advertising Coalition (UAC), Ukraine;
• Public Union "Clean Sky Initiative", Ukraine;
• Federation of Employers in TV and Radio, Publishing, Advertising and Information Sectors, Ukraine.

TIC’s representatives are members of the public councils, working groups, expert commissions in key media institutions:

• Public Council of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (Ukrainian Parliament) on Freedom of Speech;
• Public Council of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (Ukrainian Parliament) on Humanitarian and Information Policy;
• Public Council of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine;
• Public Council of the Ukrainian State Film Agency;
• Industrial Gender Committee on Advertising;
• Expert Commission on the distribution and demonstration of films at the Ukrainian State Film Agency;  
• Expert Council on the selection of cinema projects for the provision of state financial support for the production (creation) and distribution of patriotic films at the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine;  
• Expert Council on Preventing and Combating Sex Discrimination;  
• Industrial Gender Committee on Advertising; 
• Collegium of the Central State Cinema and Photo Archive of Ukraine named after G.Pshenychnyi;
• Ukrainian Television Academy.
